Gulliver’s Travels (1939) is an animated musical fantasy film produced by Fleischer Studios, based on Jonathan Swift’s classic novel. The story follows Lemuel Gulliver, a shipwrecked traveler who washes ashore in Lilliput, a land of tiny people. Gulliver becomes entangled in a feud between Lilliput and the neighboring kingdom of Blefuscu, helping to broker peace while navigating the charming yet comical antics of the miniature inhabitants. Notable for its vibrant animation and musical numbers, the film was the second-ever animated feature, following Disney’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937).
